Britain appoints a minister of Iraqi origin to distribute the Corona vaccine

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson appointed Nazem Al-Zahawi as Minister responsible for distributing the Covid-19 vaccine, and Al-Zahawi, who is of Iraqi origin, holds the position of Minister of State for Business.

In his new position, Al-Zahawi will report to Health Minister Matt Hancock, with his primary focus on vaccine deployment, though he will retain some of the responsibilities of his current job.

The Financial Times reported that Britain is scheduled to adopt during the days of the vaccine developed by Biontech and Pfizer, and that deliveries will begin within hours of the issuance of permission to do so.
