The American President: We will take revenge in the event that any American soldier is killed in Iraq

US President Donald Trump threatened the pro-Iranian factions with what he called crushing retaliation in the event that any American soldier was killed in Iraq because of their attacks on US interests. Trump’s threat came in a report by the Washington Post, in which it quoted US administration officials as confirming that Trump is still considering striking at Iranian interests and its armed factions in Iraq.

The American officials confirmed that the Trump administration continued its pressure on the Iraqi government to escalate its campaign against the pro-Iranian factions, whose missiles have repeatedly targeted diplomatic and military sites, adding that the commander of the Iranian Quds Force, Ismail Qaani, urged the armed factions during his recent visit to Baghdad to exercise restraint and not escalate attacks before Trump left Office.
